Freedom starts with education

Austin Jones is a 21 year Army Veteran that served across the world with 4 deployments in 2 wars. His watchword is Service, specifically, to the people. Since retiring in 2019, he has been a community organizer in Madison County taking on many roles from Legal Observer to Marshalling and De-escalator. He believes that Freedom Starts With Education and is a lifelong learner. He is seeking the Madison County School Board District 3 seat. His time in the military has prepared him to deal with the rules and regulations that School Boards operate under as well as building teams with the primary focus on accomplishing the mission.

His family is his world and the education of his children with the support of his partner is always forefront in his mind. He believes that every child deserves the best and it is the duty of the entire community to deliver that. In order for that to happen, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community at large must be given the maximum amount of resources that the richest country in the history of the world has to offer. No matter what school a child goes to, they should be afforded the same standards across the board.

In order to accomplish this mission, every possible option and idea will be explored and only the best ones will be implemented in coordination with the superintendent and the other board members as well as students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community at large. Freedom Starts with Education and it is Everyone’s God Given Right to be Free.

There is no higher honor than to serve the people.

There are severe and artificial budgetary constraints that the richest country in the history of the world have imposed on public education. In order to work that, many schools across the country and world have installed renewable energy which has allowed them to give raises and hire more people which improves the learning environment for students. Yesterday is when this should have happened in Alabama, but we can do this today for a better tomorrow.

Clean water, food, & air is a human right and sets the table for students, teachers, and administrators to operate at their highest capacity. We will analyze all these aspects and make measurable improvements that will positively impact the school system as a whole. You can’t put dirty fuel into an engine and expect it to work properly. The schools deserve the best we can provide for them and we will do just that.

Knowledge is power and empowered students are safer people. Teachers want to teach and when allowed they and the students are more fulfilled in life. We will raise the expectations we have of students, teachers, and administration to develop the mind, body, and soul of the future generations who will be the caretakers of us and the world. This is the core mission and it will be executed to the highest standard.
